Today Case: A Couple from #London with a History of 2 Unsuccessful IVF Attempts and 4 Years of Secondary Infertility
The female patient was 38 years old, her level of anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) was 1 ng, and her vitamin D deficit was corrected prior to the procedure.
Following an ectopic pregnancy, the patient had already suffered a surgical intervention during which both fallopian tubes had to be removed due to infection. This is why the diagnostic hysteroscopy performed at our clinic revealed chronic endometritis.
The male patient was 44 years old and presented with normozoospermia.ย ย
When the couple first presented at our clinic, they had already undergone 2 failed IVF procedures in London. Together, we decided to change the approach and protocol.
After ovarian stimulation, we obtained 3 mature oocytes which were fertilised using a technique known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The fertilisation process resulted in 1 embryo in blastocyst stage which was transferred fresh.
In the picture, we can see the beta hCG result repeated at 48 hours.
